Cragside Primary School has been at the heart of the High Heaton community for over 80 years. We are proud to be a welcoming and caring school in which every child is enabled to succeed.
We provide an engaging and high quality education for every child in our care. Our enthusiastic staff team is comprised of experienced, reflective practitioners who are excited by the challenge of ensuring that all our children are fully prepared for life in the 21 st century.
We aim for excellence in achievement for all children in literacy and numeracy and across the wider curriculum. Our children are encouraged to take an active part in their learning and we provide them with a rich variety of experiences which promote their personal, social, physical and creative development.
Our school has a very strong community spirit and well-established home-school partnership. A committed governing body and PTFA contribute positively to the ethos of our school.
